Well, I said I would post a video of me singing Coal Miner’s Daughter at the Grand Ole Opry night. The video didn’t turn out so well; my neighbor couldn’t get too close and she was partly behind a post. There were people seated around her talking and others walked in front of the “stage”. Then, for some reason, a person stood in front of her and she stopped the video, to resume it a few lines later. But, that is another file. The sound quality is not very good either. I thought my tablet would do better than that, or maybe it was the sound system. It is a bit embarrassing, but I did get some rousing applause and a number of people came up to compliment me after the show.
It looks as though my blonde bangs were sticking out from under the wig. I thought I looked more like Morticia from the Adams Family than Loretta Lynn. I put some dark eyebrow pencil on my invisible blonde brows and that helped a bit.
I was only one of about a dozen singers. A good time was had by all.
Failure! When I tried to put in the video taken by my tablet, WordPress said that file type is not allowed. The file type is 3gp. I tried. Here is a very poor still.
That wig was hot!
Great post sorry no video of your singing. Can you sing: ‘Coat Of Many Colours’? You could dye that wig and be Dolly next time!

I like that song too, but I’ve never tried to sing it. We had a Dolly, of course; the best singer of the group.

It was fun. Everyone had fun. In fact, the club manager told me that she has had so many positive comments about that night.

I don’t know that it is courage as much as having given up worrying about making a fool of myself a long time ago. I just have a good time.

You were very brave to take this on in the first place. Well done! Rousing applause says a lot for your performance. You also look good as a Morticia look-alike.Lol.
