Final Draft – Out the Door (er, Into Cyberspace!)

I finished checking the final draft to make sure they had made all the corrections I sent in Christmas eve.  She missed eighteen out of the hundreds of corrections Sheila, Dawn, and Joyce suggested. Thank you, ladies!

I didn’t re-read it this time.  It is so boring at this point.  I hope I never see another final draft again.  Maybe there will be a published “Big Creek” later this month.

I just proof read my paperback formatting yesterday. I have read everything so many times now yet I found two mistakes I had never noticed before. I would definitely not want to proofread for a living.

I have read Big Creek so many times, I apparently read it without looking at the words. Every time I read it, I found more errors and lost all confidence that I ever would find them all. Someone else had to look at it. Maybe I would do better looking at someone else’s work. But, you are right; I wouldn’t want to be a proofreader either!

You have already experienced most of it. A lot of it will be familiar to you. You’ll probably wonder why I didn’t mention something you think would add to it. But, I want you to read it anyway! See you in May Debbie.

It has been driving me crazy for two years now. It’s a wonder I haven’t gone over the edge and been locked up somewhere.
