Gatlinburg Fires

We have been worried sick about our friends in the Smokies this week.  Fortunately, I got emails. Ranger Heath, who lives in Gatlinburg up against the park border, is fine.  He and Dana are staying in a hotel until their power and water are turned back on.

Boss Larry and Kristen are also fine, except that he has two ear infections.

Answered prayers!!

      It was a relief to hear from the ones who live closest to Gatlinburg. They are the main characters in my book!

    Glad your friends are all OK. Husband and I were near there several years ago and it is such beautiful country.

      I’m sure it will be beautiful again one day. Boss Larry said that a lot of historical buildings were lost, though. I bet the forest will recover quickly. The saddest part is the loss lives and homes. Today, it hit me that a lot of people have lost their jobs in all the businesses that burned down.
