So, maybe my tile hysteria has gone down a bit. It is still not the best match. The cool gray on the wall and the warm gray on the floors are never going to look smashing together. But, this morning, in a different light, they were not screaming at each other either.
Sunday. The tile setters were not working.
We went inside and walked around. Maybe it is not so bad.
The guest room is on the western side of the house. The tile looks fine in the morning light.
The guest bathroom doesn’t look so back either. Well, except for that dirty tile. I didn’t notice it until I got the picture on the computer. Andy assured me that it is dirt from the yard.
The family room, with south-facing sliding glass doors, does look a bit browner in the sunlight.
As commenters have pointed out, and even I have considered, when the furniture, rugs, and art are in, the less-than-perfect tile/wall match will probably not be noticeable. If I still don’t like it, I can always paint.
