Since I could not get on line for four or five days (except a few quick peeks with our mobile hot-spot and its high charge for data (Thanks, Verizon), I spent several days making an annotated slide show of Big Creek pictures with Power Point. I plan to use it, in the background, when I do some book promotion events. I don’t know what those will be exactly, but I’ll be ready with a slide show when the time comes.
It was great fun to scan through my pictures and see the beautiful Big Creek sights.

I don’t know how many pictures I took during our times in Big Creek, but it was A LOT. The slide show has nearly 600 pictures, but that is not as much as it seems. If each one is up for six seconds, the slide show will last an hour. I have it set to repeat until I stop it. I have added text to describe the picture when necessary. I have dropped my usual flower naming scheme, i.e. white flower, yellow flower, and blue flower. I’ll let the viewers figure that out for themselves.
I have also spent a few days catching up on my financial paperwork, entering transactions into Quicken, balancing statements, and getting started on the tax return.
Now I am waiting for some feedback from editor Patricia so I can get back to work on the book.
Nice photo

Thank you! I had to climb down the steep creek bank to get it. Then I saw some pretty wildflowers on my way back up. A bonus! I did decide that I should get down closer to the water more often.

I’m glad to learn about your book. What a great idea to put your adventures in prose and pictures.

My friends, family, etc. who got my blog as a daily email always loved the pictures (more than the text I’m afraid). So I figured I’d better make them available.
