This may have been the same crew that built the form for the cement slab. They had already laid out the plastic vapor barrier when I came out the front door in the morning.

They spent a good bit of time digging out footings around the perimeter and dug the dirt away from the outside of the form as well.

Those sections of rebar are for the inside of the periodic cement-filled column of cement in the exterior wall.

I can almost tell where the rooms are going to be from the pipes sticking up in the air.

This is what it looked like at the end of the day.

I hope these homes are being built be the good mexicans .not the rapist and crooks that are coming across our board. If only he could see how hard they work .and they are just humans like us. jim

I did ask the construction superintendent if they were all legal when they were building our house because someone suggested that I might not want to post images of illegals. The superintendent assured me that they are. You are right. They are very hard working and very polite. I also love the Mexican music they listen to while they work. I bet the rapists and crooks are an extremely small percentage of the population. Most are good people and would be an asset to any country if they are given a chance.
