I set myself a deadline to get my Big Creek journal published as a book by April. However, I did not get much accomplished in the month of November.
Hugo House publisher/editor Patricia Ross suggested that I write a series of essays and use my stories to support the premises in them. It sounded like a great idea, but when I sat down to do so, I just couldn’t make it fit. My stories are all just short snippets and anecdotes and when they are pulled out of sequence, they don’t make much sense. When they do make sense, they are boring and repetitive. Frankly, I don’t think I have any premises. I am officially stuck.
Here is our motorhome Sao sitting in our camp host site at Big Creek, in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I loved our mossy lawn.,
