Little Blue Heron

This bird is resting on mangrove roots.  I thought it was an egret until I got the picture on the computer and saw the greenish legs.  I had to look it up to discover that it is a juvenile Little Blue Heron.  The photo is not too sharp, but you can see that the legs are green – ish.

    He looks so ungainly, I can’t see how those long spindly legs hold him upright! Great photo 😊

      It is a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ70. A little bit too big to carry around all day, but I like the zoom lens.
